Our nature
Pamoja Youth Initiative (PYI) is an independent youth led non-governmental, non-partisan and non-profit making organization dedicated toward empowering Zanzibar youth to realize, utilize talents and potentials in propelling socio-economic and political development in Zanzibar.
Pamoja Youth Initiative was officially registered as a non-profit organization on January 21, 2015 with registration number Z0000072095 under Zanzibar’s Societies Act Number 6 of 1995.
Pamoja Youth Initiative searches for collective efforts to engage, empower, and transform youth to have active role in developing themselves and support positive changes in Zanzibar.

What we want
Young people in Zanzibar realize and use their potentials and talents to transform their lives and contribute towards socio-economic and political development in the country.

What we believe
Young people have POWER, and if meaningful investment is made to them they can be part of transforming the world into a better place for everyone to live.
