From 29-30 September, 2018 Pamoja Youth Initiative, Drone Wings, IYSED, Faraja Initiative,
UNFPA, Zanzibar Legal Services Center, Technovations and Zynovate Consulting Mappers has
joined a global Movement to End Female Genital Mutilation (FGM).
The Participants had an opportunity to conceptualise FGM and its impacts, the use of drones
technology and mapping to solve social problems as well as networking among themselves.
Although Zanzibar has zero prevalence of FGM practices, the participants contributed to mapping
campaign on the areas affected by FGM hence showing solidarity with other countries affected by
FGM such as Northern parts of Tanzania Mainland.
